Your photos can have the power to make a difference to the lives of animals all over the world. Humans are vital for our world's survival, but we are not in harmony with nature. The planet is losing its wildness, and wild animal populations are decreasing. Time is running out. Conservation efforts are essential to protect nature in our oceans, forests, and urban areas. Photography is crucial for conservation. Images created by photographers like you create an emotional connection, raise awareness about the threats faced by animals and ecosystems, and celebrate their unique beauty. Photography also helps researchers study the behaviors and habitats of endangered species, monitor changes to landscapes and ecosystems over time, and identify areas most in need of conservation efforts. That’s why we're partnering with IFAW (International Fund For Animal Welfare) and World Ocean Day to launch the ‘Our Wild World’ challenge. We're asking you to make a real impact on the lives of animals all over our wild world in these four categories: 1. Water Worlds: Share your photos of oceans and marine life, including underwater photography, coastlines, and the animals and plants that inhabit our oceans, rivers, and lakes. 2. Terrestrial Worlds:Capture the diverse life found in forests, mountains, deserts, and grasslands, from tiny honey bees to large brown bears. 3. Urban Worlds:Celebrate urban wildlife, such as birds nesting in city parks, flowers and plants thriving in unexpected places, or wildlife like foxes in urban neighbourhoods. 4. Protecting our World:Share photos of conservation efforts in your local community, whether it's beach clean-ups or innovative recycling solutions, to safeguard our planet for future generations. First prize includes a once-in-a-lifetime trip to capture content at IFAW projects in Amboseli National Park, Kenya. Travel must take place by October 2025 & may be subject to date restrictions. Trip includes economy flights, 3 nights accommodation & airport transfers.
